Sora Han

I build environments that ask visitors to distrust the first reading of a room. Mirrors, translucent surfaces, and underlighting make space appear complete before it begins to split apart. My installations are informed by archive design, theatrical staging, and the architecture of waiting rooms, but I use those references to create uncertainty rather than legibility. I am interested in the point where a room stops behaving as a container and starts behaving like a participant. Reflection is important because it multiplies the viewer, the object, and the implied history of the scene without resolving any of them. The work does not dramatize memory; it treats memory as spatial friction. I want visitors to feel like they are inside a structure that is trying, and failing, to remember itself accurately.
